What to see in Argelès

• La Tour de la Massane: former watchtower of the Kingdom of Majorca, built in the 13ᵉ century on the heights of Argelès, 800 meters above sea level. It offers sumptuous views of the coastline and the Roussillon plain.

Among the most beautiful beaches in Argeles :

• Racou beach: isolated to the south of the port, the sandy Racou beach is the last stretch of fine sand before the rocky landscapes of the Côte Vermeille. The landscape then opens up to an alternation of heavenly sandy and pebble coves all the way to Spain. We like it because it’s less crowded. It is equipped with beach volleyball courts and a nautical center.
• Plage des Pins: a family beach, accessible from the resort center and lined with shops. It boasts a number of facilities, including a water sports center, and is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Bordered by the pine forest, it’s also very close to the casino.
• La crique du Porteil: a little-frequented pebble beach, ideal for those seeking peace and space. Creeque du Porteil is a popular snorkeling and diving spot, renowned for its biodiversity and clear waters.
